**  HSCL exceeds Rs 1000 Cr. Turnover  **
**  CMD won the SCOPE elections  **
**  CMD awarded Turn Around Leader Award 2010-2011 **
Sri Malay Chatterjee, Chairman-cum-Managing Director was awarded Turn Around Leader Award 2010-2011 at World HR Congress 2011 at Hotel Taj Lands, Mumbai on February 11, 2011 by Sri Bhaskar Chatterjee,IAS, Secretary to Government of India, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.      
·        Turnover achieved during 2009-10 was 800.35 Cr., the highest turnover since inception of the Company. CAGR registered during the last 5 years from 2005-06 is 22.98%, much higher than the overall industrial growth rate of the country.

• During 2010 -11 the turnover exceeds 1000 Cr.

·        Order Booking during 2009-10 was 1036 Cr., the highest Order Booking since inception of the Company. CAGR registered during the last 5 years from 2005-06 is 24.58%

• During 2010 -11 the Order Booking has already reached 1500 Cr. till the end of 3rd Quarter.
• Operational Profit during 2009-10 was 69.09 Cr., the highest since inception of the Company. CAGR registered during the last 5 years from 2005-06 is 22.22%.
• Sri Malay Chatterjee has been awarded with ‘TURNAROUND LEADERSHIP AWARD 2010-11’ for Global excellence in HR in World HR Congress -2011 held in Mumbai on 11.2.2011.  

·        HSCL has been conferred with Ispat Rajbhasa Trophy by Hon’ble Minister of Steel for use of Hindi as official language.
·        Sri Chatterjee has been recognized by the Institution of Engineers in the 26th National Convention of Architectural Engineers held in Bhubaneswar on the 20th November 2010 for his distinguished and dedicated services in fostering the development of the Nation.
·        HSCL has been awarded with ‘Certificate of Excellence’ by Water Resources Department Govt. of Bihar for its execution of Koshi Disaster Management Project.
·        ‘Certificate of Recognition’ has been awarded  to HSCL by Essar Steel in association with E18 and CNBC TV18  for its contribution in building India’s infrastructure.
·        Sri Chatterjee had been instrumental in securing ‘Implementation of ESIC Medical and Dental College at Gulbarga, Karnataka’ as a PIU for an estimated value of Rs.760 Cr, which is the biggest project in Building and Medical Infrastructure in the history of HSCL.
·        ‘Implementation of 90 Nos. of Disaster Shelters’ at South 24 Parganas in West Bengal as a PIU for an estimated value of 381 Cr. under National Disaster Management Authority is another major order secured by the Company under the leadership of Sri Chatterjee.
·        HSCL has over 4000 Cr. worth of orders in hand to enjoy a major market share in the construction industry. This also has been the highest Order Book in the history of the Company. This achievement can be attributed to the aggressive marketing approach of Sri Chatterjee.
·        HSCL has signed MOU with UZINEXPORT S.A, Romania for business cooperation and execution of contracts in steel and infrastructure sector in India.
·        HSCL has signed MOU with Institute for Steel Development & Growth (INSDAG) for cooperation in design and execution of steel intensive projects in India.
·        The Company has signed MOU with PowerCem Technologies of Netherlands for introduction of cost effective products for road making in India.
·        HSCL has already sent Expression of Interest for signing MOU with ZARUBEZHGOL, Russia for cooperation in implementation of Coal Washeries in India.
·        HSCL is all set to go international by taking up implementation of Low Cost Housing in Sri Lanka under Govt. of India assistance. This has been a major break through by Sri Chatterjee in overseas business exposure after more than two decades.
·        Realty Sector has been opened up as a prospective business area of the Company, which marks the vision of Sri Chatterjee for diversification and business generation. Land has already been purchased at Rajarhat New Town, Kolkata (5 acre) and at Mohali (1 acre)
·        43000 Sq.m in Jaipur from IL will be finalized soon.
·        5 acre at Bahadurgarh, Haryana is awaiting Board’s approval of IOC.
·        Space has been purchased in New Delhi in SCOPE Minar in New Delhi for HSCL’s Regional office. It will be inaugurated soon.
·        HSCL’s Corporate brochures, Corporate profile and Corporate film have been released during this period.
·        The Company has taken steps by way of meeting the Press on several occasions during 2010-11 to get media exposure and image building.
·        All the leading dailies like Business Standard, Financial Express, The Telegraph and The Statesman have given vivid coverage on HSCL in their editions.
·        SCOPE Journal Kaledeioscope has also given good coverage on the profile of the Company due to the efforts put in by Sri Chatterjee towards image building of the Company in the corporate world.
·        Executive Development programme has been initiated. Till January 2011, 232 days of training has been imparted.
