- Sri A. Sai Pratap,
Hon'ble Minister of State for Steel, inaugurates HSCL's Stall in
the Steel Pavilion at IITF 2009 held from the 14th to 27th
November 2009 at Pragatai Maidan, New Delhi.

of Steel, Sri Virbhadra Singh visits HSCL's pavilion and praises the
Models and Panels, put up on display, depicting the business activities
of the Company.
- Sri P. K. Rastogi,
Hon'ble Ex Secretary (Steel) formally inaugurates the Corporate Profile
of HSCL at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi.
- The Company registered
a turnover of Rs.721 Crore during 2008-09, a growth of 37% over FY08.
CAGR during the last 4 years stands at 27%.
- Orders worth Rs.871
Crore were secured during 2008-09, registering a CAGR of 26% during
the last 4 years.
- Operational Profit
rose from 40.21 Crore in FY08 to Rs.64.63 Crore in 2008-09, an improvement
of 61%.
- HSCL maintains its
growth track in 2009-10 also over previous Financial Year 2008-09.
- Turnover and Order
Booking increases by 14% and 7% respectively till December 09 over the
corresponding period of FY09.
- HSCL diversifies
its activities in Disaster Management and is in the process of taking
up Cyclone Shelter work in three costal Districts of West Bengal after
successfully completing the challenging 'Repair/ flood fighting work
in damaged portion of the Eastern Afflux Bund of Kosi Barrage near Kusha(Nepal)'
under Water Resources Department, Government of Bihar.
- The Rs.41 Cr. anti
erosion work of River Ganga in Bihar has been successfully completed.
- Rs.798 Cr. Bagmati
River Training Project in Bihar is in progress as per schedule.
- Rural roadwork under
PMGSY in the state of Jharkhand is scheduled to start by middle of January
2010. DPR for Rs.153 Cr. has been approved by NRRDA so far.
- The Company, at
present, is executing projects worth about Rs.835 Cr. in the North Eastern
States of Tripura and Sikkim, which will help in infrastructure and
tourism development in the area.
